Official Cover issued by the Government of Umm Al Qiwain, sent via airmail to London, England, on 4 September 1969. Features two Umm Al Qiwain stamps promoting the XIth Olympic Winter Games Sapporo 1972:
•75 dirhams, depicting a ski jumper (with background marked Grenoble 1968)
•10 dirhams, depicting a downhill skier (also marked Grenoble 1968)
Both stamps are inscribed in Arabic and English and cancelled with a purple triangular Umm Al Qiwain postmark dated 4 SEP 1969. The envelope bears “Government of Umm Al Qiwain – Post Office” printing in English and Arabic, with a bilingual “Air Mail / Par Avion” label. Addressed to E.C. Ehrmann in London in handwritten script.
Condition: Good condition, light folds, clear postmarks, bright colors.
