First Flight Cover issued on 2 October 1970 for Air-India’s inaugural service between Abu Dhabi and Bombay. Features a 60 fils Abu Dhabi stamp commemorating the Anniversary of Accession (August 1970), depicting Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and Abu Dhabi Airport. Cachet artwork shows a traditional Arabian man and an Indian man exchanging greetings, with “Abu Dhabi” and “Bombay” prominently printed. Includes oval commemorative Air-India postmark dated 2 October 1970 and circular “Trucial States” cancellation. Addressed to Mr. S.K. Kooka, Commercial Director, Air-India, Bombay. Reverse bears “Philatelic Bureau Bombay G.P.O.” delivery mark dated 2 October 1970.
