اليوم العالمي للاتصالات السلكية واللاسلكية يُحتفل به في 17 مايو، لزيادة الوعي بأهمية الاتصالات وتكنولوجيا المعلومات في التنمية. تم اختيار هذا التاريخ ليتزامن مع تأسيس الاتحاد الدولي للاتصالات في عام 1865، ويهدف اليوم إلى تسليط الضوء على تحديات القطاع ودوره في تقليص الفجوة الرقمية.
