أصدر هذا الطابع سنة ١٩٧٠ بمناسبة الذكرى الرابعة لتولي الشيخ زايد رحمه الله الحكم في أبوظبي . يبرز الطابع صورة جوية لجزيرة أبوظبي بالإضافة إلى صورة لمطار أبوظبي، مما يعكس انفتاح الإمارة على العالم ويجسد رؤيتها المستقبلية كعاصمة حديثة ومتصلة بالعالم.
 
This stamp was issued in 1970 to commemorate the fourth anniversary of Sheikh Zayed's ascension as a ruler of  Abu Dhabi. The stamp features an aerial view of Abu Dhabi Island along with an image of Abu Dhabi Airport, symbolizing the emirate's openness to the world and embodying its vision of becoming a modern, globally connected state.
